Pals Blog Hop - Spring Projects!

2013marhop_badge

Thank you for joining us for the March Pals Blog Hop! Today the Stampin' Pretty Pals are excited to share new ideas and projects to get you ready for spring.
You should have just left stop number 13 on the Pals Hop - Maggie Mata at Maggie Made Cards. If so, you are in the right spot.  If you get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

I'm so ready for Spring and the beautiful explosion of colorful flowers that it brings.  That desire is what inspired my card.

  • The large dahlia is created with the Blossom Petals Builder Punch.  The center is a designer builder brad that I "antiqued" with a jewelry-crafting product called Guilders Paste.  The center was a circle of Midnight Muse covered with Dazzling Details for an opalescent effect.
  • The medium sized flower is created with the Floral Framelits Die and coordinating Daydream Medallions stamp set.
  • The teeny flower is punched from the Boho Blossoms Punch.
  • The paper, ribbon, and sentiment are all products available exclusively during Sale-A-Bration.

The next stop is Carmen Sublasky at The Creative Stamptuary, stop number 15 on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting – and I hope to see you next month!

Spring Trend: Orange, Continued

Although I love Winter and snow, it happens about this time of year that I start spending more time at our local botanical gardens and gravitate toward brighter and more cheerful colors.  Orange is such a happy color and I'm glad to see it popping up all over the place in clothing, accessories, home decor, you name it.

Here's a cheerful gift bag I made using the First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper:

  • I sponged the Paper Doily (129399) with Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango Ink
  • I used the Tangerine Tango ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration exclusive Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack (130812)
  • The stamped sentiment if from the Sale-A-Bration exclusive stamp set Bloomin' Marvelous (129651)
  • The tag is made from the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and Framelits Bundle (131097)
  • The tiny heart is from the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit Die (125596)
  • And those gorgeous, girly roses are the 5/8" Flower Trim (126869)

Countdown to Sale-A-Bration

Sale-A-Bration is nearly upon us - it begins on January 22. It's your chance to earn products for FREE:  one product for each $50 you spend.  Here's a sneak peak at the gorgeous designer series paper offered exclusively through Sale-A-Bration - Sycamore Street.

I love the fresh colors Moroccan-inspired design.  It lends itself easily to pattern and texture mixing - which is what I did with this card.

  • I trimmed the outside edge of the Paper Doilies (#129399) and pulled (gently) into a straight line to create the ruffle border
  • I used the Hearts a Flutter stamps and Framelits dies (bundle #131097) to create the hearts
  • The sweet centers of the hearts were created with the Itty Bitties stamp set (#128939) and punched out with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (#118309)
  • The zig-zag embossing was created with the new and amazing Border Scoring Plate (#126192) for the Simply Scored Scoring Board (#122334).
You will love creating with these and other great products from the Spring Catalog and Sale-A-Bration - they are fresh, fun and beautiful!

And if Sale-A-Bration Anticipation wasn't enough...there are two exciting new products available starting today:
